How We Started:

McKeever & Niekamp Electric was established in 1993 by Larry McKeever & Doug Niekamp.  While not technically family, we set out to build a family based business with the foundation of hard work, integrity, honesty and quality.  During the first several years our focus was retail commercial, completing jobs throughout the tri-state area, while building a strong reputation and relationships that are still alive today.  It has been that dedication to hard work, personal attention and a client first philosophy that we established in our beginning that has allowed us to grow into one of the most highly respected commercial contractors in Central Ohio.

Who We Work For:

Over the past 25 years, MNE has had the honor to work for many of the premier commercial contractors in the area.  We pride ourselves in not being just another subcontractor on the job, but instead, a valued partner and team member.  We believe this focus has helped us gain the trust and confidence of some of the areas most respected general contractors.  While we are continually seeking new relationships and grow our customer base, our repeat customers and long time partners will always remain our primary focus.  If we have never had the opportunity to work with your company, we are confident that once you experience our attention to safety, quality and project management that you will look forward to having McKeever & Niekamp on future commercial projects.

What We do:

With an experienced team of project managers, superintendents, journeymen and apprentices, McKeever & Niekamp Electric can put together the right team to complete any size project.  Over the past several years, we have completed projects ranging from small retail stores and restaurants to large multi-family developments.  At McKeever & Niekamp Electric we believe in putting the right experience on the right project.  We have project managers and field team members that will meet and exceed your expectations for your next project.  In 2016, our highlight projects include a multi-family complex along the river in Dayton, a new private school in downtown Columbus and a complete renovation of a warehouse and distribution center.

Where We Work:

While based in Beavercreek, MNE has also operated an office in downtown Columbus.  We currently have a team of managers and electricians who live and work in both the Dayton/Springfield and Columbus areas.  Over the past 25 years, we have built a relationship with many of the building departments in the area.  We believe in and stress the importance of open communication and building trust with building officials.  MNE is a trusted name within the local building departments and has come to stand for quality and code compliant workmanship.  It is these relationships and trust the can become invaluable when turning a project over on time and on budget.

How We Do It:

MNE is committed to approaching each project with a dedication to safety, integrity and quality while never losing focus on schedule and budget.  Our goal is to give our customer a facility they can be proud of, a quality product constructed on time and on budget with zero injury incidents.  MNE believe this can be accomplished as we focus on safety, communication, planning, scheduling and quality.

Who Works For Us:

MNE is dedicated to building and retaining a team of experienced, honest and hardworking employees.  Many of our project managers and superintendents have been trusted team members for over 10 years.  While many of our management team have grown with us, we are continuously seeking and hiring experienced, self-motivated individuals with the attention to detail and safety that we demand from all of our employees.  MNE is active in several training programs including the ABC Apprenticeship and local trade schools.  We are continuously looking to develop and maintain young energetic talent.  Our current team includes (5) project mangers, (6) superintendents, (25) electricians and an office staff dedicated to make sure day to day, project to project functions are handled in a timely and professional manner.
